The Influential Baton Rouge Business Women’s Network hosted its inaugural business conference Jan. 13 in St. Francisville.

Attendees, all female business, heard from several speakers on topics owners ranging from search engine optimization, Google My Business, marketing/branding trends and best practice communications standards to small-business compliance regulations in Louisiana and social media strategies.

The group meets biweekly to network and discuss a dedicated business topic, including leadership, human resources, marketing, economic impact, strategic growth, expansion, client appreciation, taxes, policies and procedures, employee recruiting/retention and product and service pricing best practices.

It is also committed to being active in the community and giving back to local organizations. Most recently, the members were involved with services and organizations such as Maddie’s Footprints, Empower225, The Bella Bowman Foundation and The Impact Circle.
